idle air control 1994 blazer

Default idle air control 1994 blazer

hello
my service engine soon light came on and checked for codes came up with idle air control code 35 my question is what are the right things to do and the wrong things to do to clean the unit also exept for the light and the code the blazer is running perfect just wont be able to get it inspected with the light on

Hold the unit with the valve side facing downward. While you are holding it downward, generously spray the spring and valve tip area with carb or throttle body cleaner and let the dirt drip off of it. Wait and let the cleaner dry. Then repeat the spray & dry process until it looks clean again. Finally re-install it.
