So... Let me see if I can figure out what you are trying to do... You need to change an injector... Being a '95, you will have the older CPI engine which will only have 1 injector in a centrally located, batch fired injection pack. This is commonly referred to as the injection spider as it has 6 'legs' leading to poppet nozzles at the intake runners for each of the cylinders (yes I know that a spider has 8 legs - lol).

Anyway, if the $450 is what you have been quoted to have a shop replace the injection spider, that sounds a bit steep, but in the ball park anyhow.

Please try to clarify your situation and requirements so we can better help you.

The shop is right its one expensive part to replace. If your a bit handy and not afraid to pop the throttle body apart it isn't too hard. I think that it took me about 2-3 hours and I was really taking my time looking for a "smoking gun"....

Are they charging you $600 for the part and install or just the part? I was quoted $1200 for the part and install. I chose to brave the install myself, very thankful I did!

Yikes... For $1200, I'd expect dinner and a movie before hand... It's not a very complicated swap.

For $300, you can grab everything necessary for the repair. Its under PN CPI-200 from LinderTech.com

I have been told 3 times already that my spider injector was bad and all 3 times it was ignition partsrelated and they found the right problem after I asked if I had to pay if that was not the problem. NO mechanic so far will guarantee that $600 job. Ask if you have to pay if that does not fix your problem?Mine has lasted well over 300K miles. Goes through caps, rotors, plugs and wires like crazy and always has the symptoms of a bad spider injector, but has not been the problem so far. I would certainly check all ignition parts first.
