Intake Manifold Bolt Locations - I need help
I have a 1991 Blazer, 4.3l V6, TBI. I took off the heads to fix a lousy gasket. I am in the process of putting it back together. I realized the intake manifold bolts were out of order, I made a template out of a piece of cardboard, but somehow only 8 of the 12 bolts made it into their right place. some are just bolts, others have studs to hold on accessories. That is what is confusing me. Does anyone have a diagram, or a picture to help me out? If you could just type out where they go, I would appreciate it. I went to the junkyard last week, looked at a dozen different S10 trucks, they were all vortec CPI. I need some help guys, I am desperate to get my truck moving again. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
So basically some have studs and some dont? I have a 91 tbi 4.3. i can go outside and look for you...I know theirs 1 or 2 at the top rad hose with studs.and i think some where the linkage bracket for the throttle cable etc has them too,not sure. i can look if you need me too.
Ok for what i could see is this...Left to right if your faceing in front of the engine :
Rightside thermostat housing
left and right side nearest the front
Map sensor bracket,front side.
front throttle cable bracket
I couldnt see the back left side past the coil as a ton of wires and hoses was in the way.

Thanks Chris. Just so I understand correctly, are you telling me the location of just the studs? you mentioned the thermostat housing, I remember that one being there. The bolts/studs I am asking about are the 12 that hold the intake manifold to the heads, 6 down the passnger side, and 6 down the driver side. I'm sorry if i was unclear about that in the first place. Thanks again.
Yes just the location of the studs..and i was calling out every stud i could see on the intake manifold. I dont think the stud on the throttle cable bracket bolts the manifold down, but i noted it just in case.
