Default intermittent wiper operation.

About5-6 months ago my blinker/wiper/cruise arm busted, ordered a new 1 from LMC and worked like a charm up until now. 1/2 the time now whenyou hit the turn signal or even just touch the arm my wipers cycle once, it's like the mist lever has been actuated.Hopefully it would be an easy fix likea bared wire orbad connection . Anyone had 1 of these apart? Sure would like to try and fix it with it being pretty new + the $100 to get it here. It looks to me like you gotta "know the trick" to get it apart...no visible screws, etc. No better place than here to ask.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts. Tom
