Default leaking coolant

water is leaking from the timing cover or water pump area(leak leaking down left side of timing cover cover).,but waterpump has been replaced twice with good gaskets with also some Indian gasket stuff, no way it can be that again.we also checked the block to see if it was warped around the waterpump, its fine.what else could it be?

Check for a gasket leak at the front of the intake manifold.

Intake? Bad water pump? check those first or maybe a head gasket? The one thing I can tell you it isn't is the timing chain cover, if its leaking water from the timing chain cover you have a really bad problem.

Is it leaking form a crack in the water pump leg or the mating surface? If its the mating surface my first guess is that when you change it somehow all the old gasket material isn't getting scraped off or it has a burr somewhere on the opening, both the surfaces have to be perfectly flat because your only supposed to have one gasket on each leg Check it for flatness and burrs. And try this stuff called forma gasket #2 on both sides of the gasket. Not a thick coat either, kinda thin to medium is fine

its the mating surface i guess..we used some fine grit sandpaper to smooth it out last time we changed it and it was pretty even..what i dont get is its this side everytime it leaks.

try tightening each side evenly, then torquing the bolts maybe that and form-a-gasket will stop it from leaking.

Another thing to try is place a straight edge across the front of the engine where the water pump holes are, and make sure its not a warped block.

So i re-did the water pump again..this time i noticed something i haven't noticed before. There was no washers on the bolts.i believe they were too long for the block so i used some washers.lets see what happens this time.

Its never any good for a water pump to not have bolt washers , I hope that solves the problem, if it doesn't we'll try something else.
