Default little help

Hey everyone,
New to the wholeForumthing but thought I'd take a crack at this. My '85 blazer has a few glitches that I have been trying to work out and was wondering if you guys might have a suggestion I haven't tried or thought of. First my driver side smog rail is snapped and was wondering if anyone new where to get one. have tried LMC and even Classic industries junk yards trucksare rusted in and are no help! Next my problem is I bought the truck and it has a aftermarket switch built in to keep the altenator from draining the battery which I find a little kooky so i'm trying to figure out Why or how to side step this nifty little feature i inherited.

Default RE: little help

Smog waht. You talking about the little foil covered piece of cardboard that comes off the exhaust manifold and goes into the intake? If so, check the "Help" section at your local autoparts store.

There should be a wire going from the alternator to teh battery. It provides a charge to the battery.
