My Chevy S-10 Blazer does not start/run
I'll try to make this short.
My S-10 Blazer ran fine then the relatively new battery started to give way and it would not start consistently. If it started, sometimes it would just QUIT and not start again. Sometimes it would start, run for a few seconds, then die and not start again. A couple times the engine sort of "popped" a bit before stopping, but nothing significant.
Since I was grinding the battery so badly, I eventually replaced it (it had a bad cell) and the truck ran fine for several starts.
Then the same thing started again with the new battery.
The last time I tried to start it, it would not start at all. There was absolutely no effort on the truck's part to fire.
Here's the thing -- It cranks fine, especially with the new battery. When I stop cranking it and return the key to the "off" position straightaway, the truck actually fires and starts to run in the OFF position!! That is consistent. I turn the key to on, then start, crank for a bit, it does not start, then I return the key to off and it fires!!
So, what is up with that?
As far as I know, it has a new battery and a new fuel pump in it.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated as I have to move it by Wednesday for street sweeping!!
Thank you in advance -
Todd
