Default Name this part?

I have started to put my 89 S15 Jimmy back together. I am working on the brake booster and steering column. There was a plastic bracket laying on the carpet on the drivers side. I believe it broke off from somewhere under the dash but I was unable to figure out where it belongs.

Where does this part belong? I found it on drivers side floor. I know it goes under the dash or on the steering column.

I am going to the bone yard tomorrow to pull some other parts and take some pics. Hopefully, I can find where this part came from and what it supports.

The bracket mounts to the backside of the neutral safety switch to allow the switch to mount to the steering column. First gen S10/S15 are getting pretty sparce in the local U-Pull it junkyard. I found one S15 Jimmy that had the correct Safety Switch/

That explains why I didn't recognize it.
