Default need help on transfer case oils

im looking for a better transfer case oil for my 93 s10 blazer. Specs call for dex II or IIE atf. i was wondering if i could use Lucas High Perf. 80W-90 since it says great for transfer cases. I know 80W-90 is thicker but would it work since this is my first 4x4 build. I want more protection without much sacrifice of parts.

DO NOT put gear oil in your transfer case. Run Dexron III or the new Dexron VI, but not gear oil.

Have you ever wasted a transfer case using the recommended fluid? What is prompting your quest for a "better" lube?

if you're worried about having better protection, step up to a full synthetic ATF for your case.

and if you're worried about protecting that t-case, then you might as well do both diff's too.

as for "Best Brand"............well, that's all a matter of opinion.
