I have owned this vehicle 10 days. The first thing I did was change the oil but I also had the Differentials and Transfer case oils changed as well. The oil in them was BLACK. It cost me a little to have it done, I am not mechanically inclined but I think it was worth it. The shop said these oils should be changed every 20-25K miles. Is this accurate? I can feel a difference, maybe it's just me. I am planning on having engine flushed also. Any other fluids that I might want to change?

Maintenance intervals really depend on the usage of the vehicle. If you are towing a lot, you are heating up that gear oil more as it lubricates the gears. If you are just driving around town, you do not need a very frequent service interval. Using higher quality synthetic lubricants also lengthens the time between services.
