Default No power after half throttle

1993 chevy s 10 blazer 4.3 litre 4x4 auto, driving home last night drove fine started today and cranked just a hair longer then normal but no big deal maybe a second longer, but after backing out and driving down the road it was apparent there was an issue. Would accelerate but only at half throttle, any more and it would act like it was out of gas, now if you hold the pedal at the exact same position when it starts to shift you need to back off acceleration other wise it will sputter, and even more going into 3rd gear, no lights nothing just falls on its face after half throttle, it has brand new fuel pump sending unit and tank, only two month old.....................i don't know what it is now! it is an immediate cut out too not just a slow loss of rpms like i said just like it ran out of gas. please help!

Is your check engine light on? As far as the fuel pressure goes here it is:

The Fuel System Pressure
54-64 PSI (Pounds per Square Inch)

Position the ignition switch and the A/C system in the off position. Install a fuel pressure gauge to the vehicles fuel rail supply line. Place the ignition switch in the on position, confirm that no leaks are present, and start the engine. Visually verify the fuel pressure reading on the gauge.

I had a ranger that the TPS was bad and didn't send a code out...but was acting kinda the same way your truck is. Just an idea.

Not sure how the top hat for your intake is but I had a very similar problem that ended up being a very easy fix. I had done a bit of offroading and barely made it out due to what you are describing. Once I got back to pavement all seemed ok, until the next day. Turned out my top hat had popped off the throttle body causing much more air entering the intake than the MAF was sensing.

Otherwise, I'd take a look at your throttle body and make sure the butterfly valve is opening when you depress on the accellerator.

ok thought maybe the fuel pressure regulator so a guy told me to pinch off return line and see what pressure I get, still only goes up to about 50 looks like I got a junk pump.................................. ran fine for a month or so but o well if you can think of any other reason the pressure would be off let me know, the same guy told me that 5-11 pounds off is enough to give me the problems that I have

You could test at the fuel filter which would eliminate the rest of the fuel system. Pinching off the return line does not tell you that it is the pump for sure because you could have a leak in the fuel system somewhere that is causing the drop in pressure. You can also monitor the fuel pressure after the pump shuts down to see if there is a leak.

In the end, the pump could very well be the problem. Especially if it was an aftermarket pump.
