tried bleeding the brakes and nothing came out. The brake line is fine. Any suggestions as to what is wrong?

How have you determined that the brake lines are fine?

What are you driving?

'91 s10 blazer 4x4..

and I cut off the part of the line that rusted and leaked, got a new one, flared it, and put it on. still no pressure. My fronts work great but I don't like skidding everywhere especially with my new tires.

Where was the leak? On the axle itself or up on the chassis? The reason I ask is because the liner inside the flex line from the chassis down to the rear axle can collapse and plug up the the line.

Swwartlkk's right. They will collapse on you although it happens to the front ones more frequently. Anywgere you have a crimp on the hose for mounting should be you first suspected place.

when I flared it there was plenty of fluid coming out. That makes me doubtful that the other part of the line is bad but I will definately have to look over it again when I have it on the lift.

What year is this truck anyway? There were basically two different systems depending on when it was made.
