Default Not getting gas.

I have a 1987 S-10 Blazer V-6, 2 wheel drive. It will not do anything but rough idle. Cant drive it, applying the gas pedal stalls it. The fuel pump is pumping fuel and I replaced the fuel filter. If I pour gas into the carberator(this truck has the early fuel injection so it looks like a carb!)the engine runs until the gas is used up. Can I take these injectors apart? I feel that this is the problem. Please help. thank you.

Before you go tearing the TBI apart, test the fuel pressure. It needs to be 10-13psi for a throttle body injected engine.

Also, test the MAP & TPS sensors (links found using "map+sensor+voltage" & "tps+sensor+voltage" with a user search of "swartlkk" and apply to pretty much all GM TPS & MAP sensors regardless of year). If either of these are flaking out, they could cause a rough idle and overall poor engine operation.

You should also see if the EGR valve is closing off properly and check the engine timing (disconnect the timing connector first).

Talking found trouble

map sensor was not the problem, removed fuel pump and found 2" rubber tubing @ the pump with a large hole in it, this car sat for years so tube rotted away. this tubing is installed @ the plant and is very pricey 20$ a foot. Auto zone didnt have it but the Napa dealer could order. thanks for the help

If the fuel pump has been in there for years, as hard as it is to change, I would replace it with a new fuel pump.
