Default OBD 1 Code 43 EST Knock Sensor

I have been getting an intermittent check engine light on my 89 s15 Jimmy 4.3 TBI. I put my scan tool on it and it has a code 43 which is Electonic Spark Control Knock Sensor. I do not recall having a knock sensor and if i do where is it located? I changed the engine and swapped everthing over but I either do not recall or remember having to transfer a knock sensor. Unless it was on the intake manifold and I never removed it from the manifold.

know sensor is on the driver's side cylinder head.

i know there is also one known to be on the rear of the cylinder head as well, but i think that's on the W-codes only.

which is bad, 'cause i just finished putting mt brother's back into his Dime.

they're easy to see. the main body is about 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 in diameter, and the plug is one of the ones you have to squeeze the sides to remove. kinda like the lid to a bottle of Scope mouthwash.

I located the knock sensor. On my car it is at the back of the LH Cylinder Head, below and to the left of the Oil Pressure Sending Unit. Looks like I have to remove the throtle Bracket to get room. I also have an intermittent problem with my oil pressure sending unit so I am going to do both at the same time in the near future. My chiltons manual was no help in locating the knock sensor and I ended up pulling out my factory service manual and was able to locate from the elctrical diagrams. With a mirror and a flashlight I was able to see it.
