oil pressure or digital dash prblems

Default oil pressure or digital dash prblems

ive been noticing lately my oil pressure on my digital dash has been blinking and reading zero...then it will jump to about 20 psi and back to zero and then to 30 and back to zero and it does that the whole time im driving, i checked my oil and everything looks fine...any ideas? would an oil change help any? last one was about 2500 miles ago so im good for about another 500 right?

You should put a manual gauge on the truck and see what the engine is putting out for pressure. Then if that is okay, then replace the sender for the oil pressure gauge, and see how that works. Good luck, Korey.

Like Korey said, put a manual guage on to check your oil pressure. If you had no oil pressure, you would hear that engine knocking and ticking. If you don't hear the noises and you don't want to hook up a guage, you can gamble and replace the oil pressure sending unit.
