Please help with 4x4 in 1994 Blazer!
I recently bought a 1994 Chevy Blazer. Right away I took it in to get looked at and had oil and plugs and all that done. I was told everything was in great shape except there was a small leak in the fuel line which I have yet to fix. When I bought it I was told the 4 wheel drive did not work. When I bought it I was 8 months pregnant and didn't drive much so it mostly has been sitting the last few months except a few times my boyfriend drove it. Well I have used it a few times in the last week and for some reason now it has no power. It won't go faster then 10mph unless i'm in 1st gear and then it really struggles to go even 30 and it feels like i'm driving a bus the way it jerks. My boyfriend said it started doing that after the last time he drove it when he tried to get the 4x4 to work. A friend told me that it might fix it to reset the 4 wheel drive which I have no idea how to do or if that is even the problem. I would much rather try to fix it myself then take it in and pay an arm and a leg for it. If anyone knows how to reset the 4x4 or might know what else is wrong please help me. Thanks!!
Your problem sounds like it is most likely fuel related. Search CPI Spider Injector and you'll most likely find your problem. Check your oil stick and tell us if it smells of gas.
Also, concerning the 4x4, check the link on the bottom of my post here about the 4x4. This link explains and shows how to fix the 4x4, which MOST LIKELY is NOT related to your driveability issue.
