Default 1988 and 1994? interchangeable rear end gears???? please help

i have a 1994 chevy blazer v6 4.3 and the gears, ring gear and housing for the gears are all torn to ****. i need to know if the gears that i have in my 88 could possibly fit into the 94. both are 10 bolt. i dont know about the ratio but everything seems to be about the same in both blazers besides body and engine size. pleast help me. i have to get this done tonight so i can start using the 94.

Thanks,
Jordan

as long as ur ratios r the same u can swap them. but id do the whole axle instead of just the gears. u can still do it without the ratios being the same but dont put into 4wd until u know......
