Default Popping hatches at Pick n' Pull

Greetings all! My S10 Blazer and I enjoy going to Pick n' Pull and rumaging. I need to know how to pop open the back hatch on Blazers that don't have keys or have the battery hooked up to pop it open with the dash button. Also, thanx too all that have helped me in the past with my Blazer issues. Because of this site and all on it, i've been able to keep my Blazer on the road!

Well if you don't need the plastic panel on the tailgate you can bust it open and then be able to reach inside the tailgate and pop the lever that's the only way. But I would just bring a battery with you and hook it up to use the button.

if they let you. But i think if you can get inside the truck you can pull the handle and it will pop the glass. ive tried that with my truck but idk if the battery has to be plugged in for that to work.

You can always try two of those 6V cube batteries (found in flashlights) in series (wired up beforehand), since they're easier to carry. Never tried it, but should have enough juice for the hatch solenoid, no?

Cool

I just pull the plastic cover down and pop the latch from the inside. Much easier that way. Hopefully the owners of the yard watch what's happening in their yard. Out here I've seen many rear windows that I went back to buy a day or two later only to find that they somehow got broken and the owner did'nt know anything about it.

Most pick and pulls with let you bring a battery or may have one laying around you could use

yep,pry back the plastic cover at the latch inside, and you will see the latch hugging the bracket on the glass, just push down on the latch and it'll pop open.
