just got this 91 blazer and I can't keep the thing running. Starts up fine will idle for about for 20 seconds then die. So yesterday I had my dad start it while I manually pressed the egr valve, sure enough it stayed running for about 5 mins. So I'm guessing its my egr? How freely is it suppose to move? Mine is very sluggish once you push on it.

forgot to add that if I keep the rpms around 1000 it will stay alive and I have to basically two foot it to drive it

 

as soon as you push it in, it should push right back out like a spring.
