Potentiometer to the MAP Sensor what the ... ?
Today I noticed a green plug right by the fire wall with nothing plugged into it sticking outside of the wire harnes conduit housing a green, a black, and a gray wire, which runs to the MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor mounted above the driver side wheel well.
Where does this supposed to go I wondered as I followed the harness?
Then I found a lump of electrical tape wrapped around that wire harness about a foot away from the MAP, curiousity got the best of me so I unwrapped it. What I found hidden under it was a basic shiny potentiometer spliced into the green wire.
What the heck is that supposed to do?

"Those 2.8L with the E2SE carbs are a royal PAIN!" - swartlkk, you can say that again!!!
People stay away from these under powered 2.8L V6s, something has to be broken at all times, they don't like to be fixed.
How I wish I had the '94 Vortec 4300 4.3 L V6 fuel injected 200 HP, does anybody wanna trade, mine will make a helluva mechanic out of anybody, LOL.
