power steering mounting brkt

My mounting bracket is cracked on my 2.8, 87 Jimmy, wondering if I can take the power steering pulley off then replace bracket without doing anything else to the power steering pump. Anyone done this before? Thanks

is it metal? can it be welded? if you got a picture post it up, might help
