i have an 85 s10 blazer with a 2.8 carb v6. I am having a problem when turning i get a loud noise and it feels like my power steering is going out. but if i crank it a little farther or let off its will stop

 

Fluid low making it make a chirp chirp chirp noise when you steer to extremes? Is the noise in the steering pump that you put fluid in or from the steering box itself??? A little more info on what you have done yourself to try and narrow down the noise would be nice. Get someone else to steer it while you look for what area the noise is coming from.
