Question about Oil
A buddy of mine is closing his Diesel repair shop. He's been getting rid of a bunch of his tools and stuff. He has a couple gallon jugs of Heavy Duty Oil 10w-40 that he offered to me. I forget the name of it, but it says its for "Diesel and Gasoline engines that require SAE grade and API service CL-4/SL or prior category recommended" So I'm wondering if this will be any good to me or if its to heavy or whatever for me to use in the Jimmy. That CL-4 crap is what has me wondering.
let me know thanks

CL-4 is an oil service category pertaining to Severe Diesel Engine Service. I wouldn't personally use a 40 weight in my Blazer, but it should pose no harm if you use it. Or just keep it around like what Kwillia said.
Use it in the summer months when its hot outside and youll have no troubles.
