Default Rad support

I need to replace the rad support on my 1994 s10 blazer. Any tips to doing this? Do I need to remove the fenders? I'd rather not. Remove the radiator? AC? Also where are the bolts, got the 3 down each fender, how many from the underside? Are they the body mount bolts? Any help is great, pictures are even better.

I havent done it. But from the looks of it you need to unbolt the front of the fenders, then remove the radiator and useable items from it. then just unbolt things until it comes off.

I removed the core support on my wrecked '94 Jimmy. It's tricky because you have to find all the hidden bolts. Here are some things I remember from the job:

1. Remove the hood from the hinges.
2. Unbolt both fenders. There are bolts behind the fenders that must be accessed with the doors open. There are bolts underneath.
3. Remove the mounts for anything on the fenders or core support.
4. Remove the core support.

I'm sure there's more to it and there are more details but that's a rough idea. Be patient and look carefully for hidden bolts.

Good luck!

To do this you will need to

- Remove the hood (2 bolts each side) 1/2"/13mm
- Remove from each front side lower fender well (3 bolts and the support) 1/2"/13mm
- remove from each top front side of fender (3 bolts) 1/2"/13mm
- remove the frame bolts from lower support wall (1 on each side of A/C condenser if equiped or on each side of radiator) 15mm

You do not need to unbolt the fenders............just the 11 bolts holding it up front.

That will pretty much make it so it would come out but you will have other things to disconnect like the radiator/condenser lines, ground wires, fuel vapor canister, battery tray, horn and I believe that is about all. I just got done doing this on my 93 after a front end collision rebuild I reused all the clips from the support wall and found the damaged ones that were missing in the junk yard.
