Default rattling rear window

i know the rear window rattle/squeak is a popular annoyance with these. i usually quiet mine with some electrical tape around the piece on the window. this works for a few days, then is all ripped and i wrap it again....... anyone got better ways to fix this prob???

You can try to adjust the latch to pull the window into the weather stripping more... That will tighten it up. There should be an adjustment. On my Bravada I had to remove the interior trim panel to adjust mine.

I use WD40 on the weatherstripping, seems to help it from drying out.

Don't know where the weatherstripping came in... but... WD40 may not be the best choice... A true silicon spray is more appropriate.

You can also tighten the actual glass hinge bolts, that worked for mine. Or just replace the glass with an 83-86 rear glass, it seems to fit a bit better on the early 90's blazers.

i did the electrical tape thing for 3 yrs. then tightened the bolt on the glass and broke the window.
but as Kyle said... a real silicone spray worked. i had the truck another 2 yrs and never heard it squeak again.
