Default Rear windshield washer fluid and defroster

First at hand, when i try to spray fluid on my rear windshield, it sprays out of the trim around the roof in the back instead of outside the truck. it leaks all over my carpet.

Secondly, my rear defogger doesnt work. the light comes on on the switch but no action happens. I checked it out myself, and it looks like the wires coming off the hydraulic struts that hold up the window were cut. Could soldering them back onto the window at the contact point help?

Problem #1 sounds like the supply tube is cut in the roof. Repair the line and that should fix the problem.

Problem #2... Did the wires get pulled off of the back window? If so, you may want to look into getting a defogger repair kit. They typically come with a conductive epoxy to reattach the terminal to the window. Soldering can work, but you can also do more harm than good.

yeah the wires are like ripped off the window and there's a little bit of bare wire hanging off the ends of the wires where it looks like it was attached.
