Question red line in a stock 4.3

hello i just purchased a new tach and i was wondering if any body knows what the redline is in the stock 4.3l v6 s-10 blazer

This is in my 97 GMC Jimmy, 4.3l TBI with 4L60E transmission.

you have a 1st gen, right? (looks like it in your avatar)

i used to spin the one in my '92 up to just over 7 grand between shifts routinely, never had an issue with the engine. trans on the other hand..............

oh yeah, i forgot to mention, it was a completely stock "Z" code engine, monitored by an Auto Meter Pro Comp tach.

i think the "factory" rating is @ 5700 (i "think")

no problem.

but don't use my "shift points" as a guide line. nobody could believe it spun to 7K, even when they were looking @ the tach.

like i said, my truck was really odd. bone stock, and i could pace my buddy's 328is Bimmer. he beat me in acceleration (duh!) but once with him, i could stay there-as long as i had fuel-which didn't take long to get rid of @ high speeds!
