Default Replacing master cylinder problem (pic included, 56k?)

I have a 86 S10 blazer with the 2.8 in there. We got the replacement master cylinder but couldn't get one of the steel hoses off. we went to auto zone to get a replacement and just bend it and what not ourselves, but we found out its different sizes going from the master cylinder to the distribution block. anyone know whats up?

anyone know whats with the different sizes and where i can get the right line?

Default RE: Replacing master cylinder problem (pic included, 56k?)

The line on my 1991 S10 Blazer SUV w/4wd and 4WAL ABS brakes is a 1/4" line with a special steel 9/16"-18 inverted flare fitting. It fitsthe front port of the master cylinder. Thatfitting isunique to GM modelsand an aftermaret inverted flare fittingthat size is NOT available. You must buy a GM-15724650 inverted flare fitting from a Chevrolet dealership (msrp $4.25) and a t 1/4" brake line asembly from NAPA or any retailer that has them. Then you mustremove one of thefittings on the brake line assembly and install the special 9/16" - 18 GM fitting with a double flare.

It may or may not fit your particular vehicle but I think it must since Autozone did not have one.
