Default Running problems, Please Help!

Ok, so here's my situation. I have a 1989 Chevy Blazer. When I go out to start it with a cold engine, it runs VERY rough, shakes and stalls out at times. However, once it reaches operating temperature, everything smoothes itself out and it runs great. It has been doing this for awhile now, and I just figured it to be due to the cars age. But if this is something I can repair, that would be great. Im not sure myself if this car has a computer that sets basic settings when first started, but thought this would make sense if that were the case. So if anyone has any clues as to what could cause this type of problem, I would really appreciate the help. Thanks in advance.

Check the Thermac, if you have one, it's a butterfly valve in the intake nsout of your air cleaner. It's vacuum activated, so check the hoses.
