Speed Sensor Question

Speed Sensor Question
Alright, so i have just a simple question about the speed sensor, but first i'll give a bit of an explaination to help you better understand. let me start off by saying i have a 93 blazer 4x4 with the 4.3 TBI.
A few months back i pulled the compass/temp display from a 2nd gen installed it into my pre-existing overhead console. now if your familiar with those, your well aware that it has to be wired to the speed sensor or else it won't work properly. Therefore if it's hooked up correctly, it will freeze the temperature if your speed drops below about 20mph to prevent the searing summer heat of the asphalt from causing the temp to ride dramatically. Now my problem is that the 2nd gen blazer i got it from has a speed sensor of 4000 pulses per mile, while my first gen blazer is only 2000 pulses per mile. That means i have to drive over 40mph before the temp starts working normally. Now i recently discovered that the 1993-94 Bravadas came with the compass/temp display before changing into 2nd gen Bravadas. With all that said, my question for you guys is, are the 1st gen bravadas (preferably the 93's and 94's) 2000 pulses per mile, or 4000 like the 2nd gens?

Why not ignore having to change that, and just add the PAC TR-7 module in-line with the speed sensor before the compass?

Option number 4 allows you to take a single 12v pulse coming in, and turn it into a double 12v pulse going out. Thus, your 2000 pulse per mile speed sensor will show as 4000 pulses per mile to the compass. Do this on the wire that connects your speed sensor to your compass, problem solved

will definitely look into that if it comes to it. However, if it turns out that the bravada is 2000ppm like my blazer, then all i would have to do is take the comp/temp module out and plug it into mine since it's already programmed for 2000ppm. sounds a lot easier than crawling under the dash and wiring that thing in.

Cruising RockAuto.com it appears that the 93/94 Bravada and 93/94 S10 share the same part number for speed sensors.
