Default Spider Injector question

Hey guys, 94 s10 blazer vin w. so I been having some idel issues. It misses at idle only. Anyhow today, I popped the intake tuning valve and shined flashlight in. I could not really see any puddling of fuel, but everything was all wet, smelled like gas obviously. So had the wife turn key on. Immediately you hear what sounds like fuel squirting for like 2 seconds until the relay clicks off. Would it be normal to hear a squirting sounds accompanied by fuel smell till relay clicks?

Sounds like its time to replace your spider assembly. Pull the intake plenum off and look for washing on either side of the intake.

the washing will be located... on the passenger side right close to the back side of the intake look for a round object sticking sideways close to the center look for washing under it. on the drivers side it will be in the back outer corner there are 2 lines that come in that also leak try to trace them with the light and see if fuel is washing around them. the sound you herd is the fuel pressure regulator its actually pretty loud. also if u take off the upper intake clean your egr valve it can cause a rough idle if its not working right. make sure you use a new gasket from the help section at just about any auto parts store. the gasket has a screen on it and keeps the carbon from getting to it in chunks

I will need to pull it to look. My buddy tells me that it is suppose to do that. He says it is a two second like spray or prime to all six cylinders. Anyone ever hear of this?

I have a certain amount of experience with CMFI "spider" injectors. What I would do is remove the top of the plenum and expose the injectors. With the coil wire removed to prevent accidental ignition, turn the key on (or have an assistant do it) long enough to prime the pump. Watch to see if there's any leakage from the fuel pressure regulator, feed and return lines (colloquially known as the "nut kit"), or injector hoses. If you do replace the spider injector unit please learn from others' experience and replace the feed and return lines in the manifold at the same time. They're usually about $50 and it's well worth it.

When you pull that tuning valve out, shine a flashlight in... It should be black EVERYWHERE.. if there is any gold color at all, there is a leak.

Toby is correct. Replace your "nut kit" anyway while you are in there. Don`t ask me how I know.
