Well i posted the other day that my vehicle would start go about 50 ft die . I have worked on this thing for hours trying differnt things . All I can get it to do is idle it really idles better than it ever has. But when i start it i can give it throttle crisp 2 times 3 rd time it bogs out and dies.I had just put a remanufatored spider on it. Fuel test today. With the key on 60 lbs then drops to 56 lb key off it droped to 14 and went up to 18 and stayed there. Is that normal ? I thought it should stay around 50s .So the first time in my 47 years I took it to a shop. Well thanks ya all may your 4.3s stay running lol

I did test today and when it spuddered out it went to 50 lbs

*Merged Like Threads* - Please keep your problems in one post so it is easier to see what has been tried and the results.

So you have stated in another thread that you cleaned your ground for the pump and all was well... I guess that wasn't the case.

If you are only getting 50psi when the engine dies, then you have a fuel pressure problem. If the pressure leaks down after the pump shuts off, then you have a leak in the system somewhere. I believe that the fact that it doesn't leak down past 10psi means the check valve is operating properly and the leak is in the spider/fpr under the intake.

Thumbs up problem fixed again

Well took it to a shop today and it ended up fuel pump sucking air.I wonderd why they put a rubber hose in fuel pump package. When I was driving around 4x4 I had to back down a steep hill got to bottom hit a rock with my traler hitch. Yes it was a jolt .That thing on the outlet line that silences the pump come lose and it was sucking air.So to my relief its fixed.I took that silencer thing and threw it.So thanks for the reply.Oh ya I did replace the spider and i thought i wasted 200 bucks. No it was a good thing becouse this thing is running better than it ever has.Alot more power it seems.Idles great. Poof badhabit out later
