Default Stolen driveshaft 924X4

New to the forum, you guys are the experts so here it is.

I recently aquired (free) a 92 blazer 4X4 from a friend. It has drivetrain problems and wouldn't run. I got the engine problems figured out, but the rear driveshaft was stolen while it was sitting. Dont know why but its gone, so now I am looking for one. What do I need to know about the size, and does anything inner change with other trucks. I saw one on ebay for 81-87 4x4 will it fit? If possible, wheres a good place to pick one up cheap. I have heard that junkyards dont usually have 4x4 stuff.

Call around to some junk yards in your area. You might be surprised at what they might have. They should also be able to tell you what years will match up. I just did a quick search on GMPartsDirect.com in their online catalog, but didn't find any reference to the drive shafts... Probably not a commonly replaced part...

You could also try Car-Part.com for a search of yards in your area that would be able to help you out. That site may be able to show you what the cross-reference list is as well.
