Hello everyone. I guess this is my at the end of my rope question. I have an 84 K5 and the tailgate window will not roll up. Started at the fuse box today with a new 30amp fuse. Got 12 volts to a new two position switch, I have fire to a new lift motor. New cable from lift motor to window lift mechanism transmission. I have bypassed the tailgate latch switch. The window will roll up fine, like a new one with a cordless power drill on the cable end. However neither the old motor or the new motor will raise the window? It will roll it down fine but rolls up only half way then stops. There is no binding with the motor or the cordless drill. I am definitely scratching my head over this one. This isn't my first K5 and have been driving square bodies since the early 70's. Anyone with some experience in this area would be appreciated. I feel like this is something minor that I am overlooking.
