When I turn on the ignition ( with a cold engine ), all the lights on the temperature gauge is lit. ( The high temperature light is flashing )
Is it possible to reset the temperature gauge ?

Try disconnecting the ground wire from you battery and letting it sit like that for 15 minutes. I know that works for reseting SES codes it might help your problem.

I was running the engine with a broken generator ( with the heater on max )
After a while all the warning lights start flashing.
After I recharged the battery all the lights stopped flashing, except the high temperature light.

When you turn on the ignition? What about when the vehicle is running. If you have the digital dash, when you turn the ignition on, all gauge lights light up to show they are working.

Try disconnecting the temp sensor for the gauge. If you have the Vortec engine, it is the sensor in the right head, single wire. If you gauge reads nothing then, you could try to reseat the sending unit or replace it.
