Default Testing FPR

Still trying to figure out what's going on with Bob...We pulled the top of the upper intake plenum today to check for FPR problems, and from what we see the driver'sside of the intake plenum is carboned and gunked up pretty bad, smells like fuel, very nasty, and when you turn the engine over you smell fuel pretty bad. From pics I've seen when your FPR is bad the drivers side is nasty and the passengers side is very clean. This isn't the case with my truck, both sides are dirty but it seems the drivers side is considerably more so. Is this common? And also, when an FPR fails, does it generally stick open? The reason I ask is because you usually had to keep your foot to the floor to get it to go anywhere until I discontinued using it.

Also we unplugged the spider injector and tested it, and now we're wondering, is there any particular order it needs to go back together?

Can you check fuel pressure, key on, engine off?
