i need a new tranny and new transfer case what i am wandering is would they work from a s10 in the same years if so what years.

auto? You will need a trans from a 2.8 truck. They have a different bellhousing bolt pattern compared to a 4.3. The transfercase should work from pretty much any truck though. Why do you need to replace both the trans and xcase?
