troubled egr

Question troubled egr

ok so i keep geting the code for the egr valve, i take it all apart clean it new gaskets and its fine for awhile then it starts doing it again. i know egr valves dont go out often but when they do what are the warning signs?

That it keeps failing lol.
You probably will need to buy a new one to be honest

Sounds like its dieing out. How often do u clean it?

well i think the last time i cleaned it was about 2 months ago....

i can get a bwd and gasket for 180 locally...

and for removing it wouldnt it run rough then plus throw a cel?

the engine needs an egr valve . With out the valve it will idle real high

you can try rock auto they prob have it for cheaper
also use the 5 % discount code in my signature and see how much it takes the total too

Oh i thought i heard removing it did more good than harm. as long as you cap it.. im probably wrong tho
