Just grabbed a 87 4x4 2.8 s10 blazer today no motor and slightly gutted engine bay for v8 swap from PO . I have this 93 bravada and wanted to build a typhoon with the drivetrain and this blazer popped up on market place so I grabbed it . now I learn there is a frame difference in 88-89 for the 4.3 upgrade . but somewhere read that the older chassis is boxed and a little stronger ? should be same diffs and if they v8 swap theses early years i assume it can handle boosted 4.3 ? worried the axle tube mounts might be different to the chassis and maybe torsion bars cant handle the power and weight of the larger v6 any one Know ?

 

Fun fact - first jet aircraft to be fitted with a snow plough. You canardly miss them.
