Default We must kill the annoying door buzzer!

My 91' has this AWFUL long winded door chime i want gone. I dont care if it warns me about leaving lights on etc. I have my digital dash out since its bad and while its out ive been looking to find the buzzer,i thought it was a little black box..

I couldn't find a location in any of my references. You should be able to follow the noise though. Might have to pull off some of the hush panels under the dash for access.

I find that just reaching up there and feeling around often changes the sound enough (even with ear plugs in) to determine the location of even the most annoying door chimes.

ive actually seen them plug into the actual fuse panel before so try that. the one on my k5 was attached to some circuit board thing and was hanging down under the dash so that wasnt hard to find at all

On my '93 it's called the "Convenience Center". It has the Seat Belt, Ignition & Headlamp Alarm Modules plug into it. It's located just left & below the instrument panel. Turn your running lights on, key off and open the door...it'll let you know...

Remove the panel that the park brake release cable goes through. Behind that panel you'll find the convenience center. Pull the black box. Ahhh, silence. Have a good one.

Glad I could help you out. As far as the beer, buy one for a soldier instead! Have a good one and wish me luck with my bucket-o-bolts!!
