Arrow What size exhaust?

What size is the tailpipe on a 94 GMC Jimmy? I need a new one for inspection and I can get one at advance auto parts for $24. I don't know what I would need to install it though, since the jimmy is at the shop and I can't look at it right now. I was going to use a connector and clamp it. Would this work? Is it welded or clamped at the muffler? What size connector would I need? etc?
Thanks!

Default

It should be 2.25" diameter and is factory welded at the muffler, but you could cut it after the muffler and clamp on a new section.
