Hi all,
Does anyone know where can i get an old beat up 92-95 vortec 4.3 Spider injector? It doesn't have to work, and im not concerned about the condition that its in, i just need one. if you have an old one on your shelf that you are going to throw out, let me know. or if you can locate one for me, thanks

 

What you wanting to do with it? Some kind of neat shop art? I am collecting large wrenches and very large fasteners and metal tools to weld together to make a bird stand for my flock one day.

You can go take one from any 92-95 blazer, s10, or astro van, and even some half tons that had a V6 in them, that are in your local auto wreckers. Even the 5.7s in those same years used a CPI setup like that in the same years I think...?

I have one but Im in Canada and was keeping it as a spare in case I ever needed another one. They were plentiful in the wreckers here so its not a hard find.

 

the wrecking yards here in NY will not let me pull just the injector out only. i have to buy the entire engine. i jjust need a beat up one as a core

 

What kind of junkyard wont sell individual parts? Where in NY are you? I might be able to get one from my local Yard for a couple of bucks.

 

im here on long island where your not even allowed to pick your own parts....they claim its for insurance reasons but i think thats b/s....i just need a crappy old non working injector from any year truck for a core return....thats why i wanted a bad one that someone was throwing out. of course i would pay for the shipping....otherwise i loose my return....let me know, thanks so much

hey bigdaddy, i told you awhile ago when you were asking for one, that i could get one from my local wrecker.

in fact i was just up there on the 3rd. had to remove the whole intake off of 2 W-code trucks to get what i needed for my brother's Summer Dime. luckly i'm one of the (few) nice guys that put everything back when i'm done.
