Where is the dip stick at on 4.3

hahaha this seems like a dumb question but the dip stick is broke right off on my blazer its a 1992 S10 Blazer tahoe 4x4 its got the 4.3 CPI w code im in canada if that makes any difference but i can't find where the old dip stick used to go i'm not familiar with these motors i'm proably looking in the wrong spot but i got another dip stick for it and need to change it its been broke since i got it.... Thanks alot.

left side of motor, believe middle of engine. worse case scenario, crawl under and look from bottom, should see dipstick tube

thanks man... anyone ever change the whole dipstick is it a hard job just wonderin..

There should be a bolt on the side of the block holding the dipstick tube. Take that off, put a pair of vise grips on the tube and use a hammer to hit the vise grips to remove the tube.
When you put the new tube in, put a bolt in the tube to keep it from distorting as you tap it into place.
