Default Where is the PCV filter?

As title says. I looked around in the air filter box but could not see anything. Also rockauto.com did not seem to have such a filter for my car - does it even exist? 1st gen 4.3 TBI.

Generally speaking, any EFI engine with a remote filter box does not have a PCV filter. These used to be a piece of foam mounted in the air cleaner housing on carbed cars. Didnt filter much.
Now the engine pcv intake is in the filtered airstream so there's no need for them.

But if you're looking for the pcv valve, it's on the driver's side valve cover.

Thanks, but I replaced it earlier today. Actually, on this engine, it was on the passenger side valve cover.

I guess that would make it the 'vcp' valve, then.

Or an ncv valve - excellent for blowing fumes into the crankcase...

The fresh air makeup line should connect to the intake piping between the filter box & the throttle body and run to the valve cover port. I can't recall where it is specifically on the CPI motors, but it'll be there somewhere.
