wheres the throttle body on a 91
I was wondering why my accelorator pedal was sticky so i did a little search on the forums and everyone keeps mentioning the throttle body. Now, i have a 91 s10 Blazer, where would the throttle body be? And what cleaner should i use on it. lol i havn't really looked under the hood for it cause its dark so im gona do it in the morning.
And i just discovered that i have floor courtesy lights (bulbs were burn't out) lol

i have the same blaze its right under your breather. take the spin nut off of the breather and remover the whole breather assembly and that where your throttle body is i usually use gumout carb, throttle body cleaner spary the throttle linkage and the return spring and see if you notice an difference if not check for anything that could be blocking or keeping the throttle from returning to the rest position

this is with the "breather" (air cleaner housing) on could i just point it through there? it has a little spray nossle straw thingy, so i dont see the need for taking it off.
now I bought a cleaner where do i spray it? and should i have the engine running?
You really should determine if the sticking throttle feeling you are getting is from the throttle body, or just the cable. I would first disconnect the throttle cable and then work the cable back and forth, feeling for sticky spots. If you don't feel any, I would still say you should lubricate the throttle cable with some WD40.
Next, with the cable still detached from the throttle body, open and close the throttle, feeling for restriction in the movement of the throttle shaft. You can spray throttle body cleaner at all 5 or 6 locations in the throttle bore where the throttle shaft goes through the throttle body (two in either bore of the throttle body off either side of the throttle blades and where the throttle shaft comes through either side of the throttle body on the outside if it does). Work the throttle while you spray it to loosen the dirt and debris that may have gotten in there.

Well, i sprayed the cable with some WD40 and worked it back and forth and it felt less sticky but not alot less sticky so im gona do it again tomarrow and if doesn't work ill try the cleaning the throttle valve.
