The stock bose amp would only be used for your door speakers. For subs you will need an for lack of a better word, external amplifier. If there is in fact an on board amp it would most likely only have enough power for the door speakers..... check some online retailers, you can usually find them pretty cheap on there. A few i would try are sonicelectronix.com and audiosavings.com, they have some pretty good deals.

Agreed, by "another amp" I think he was talking about getting a second one. The Bose will only drive the speakers, you'll need one for the subs too. Essentially you'll be running with two amps.

Definatley need an aftermarket amp. Even if you some how could hook up to the stock amp (which in no way would push the sub) you would cause problems throughout the other speakers due to ohm impeadance changes.

My Bravada has the amp in the center console under the six disk changer. Are you planning on using the stock radio?

the amplifer is located behind the glove box it is pretty long and you will see the orange bose sticker, look toward the passenger door, another comment man the only two speakers in the blazer making the bass are the front two door speakers, you could unhook them two speakers and run the speaker wire from them to your new speakers in the back, i did it with mine it is a 2000 jimmy bose stereo i unhooked front speakers and pushed two 8in pyle's old as hell but still sound good , and sound dam good coming from the stock amp and stereo, alright good luck man

I have a 2001 Blazer -- would the amp be under the center console or behind the glove box? Thanks for any help.
