Yet another code 43/Knock sensor issue 91/4.3/"Y"
#11
I have this "Gator Grip" socket that I use on tough stuff. I dont know how much tourque it can take though. Its a large socket that is fill of pins. when you put it on a nut it pushes up whatever pins need to move to make it grab the nut, something like this may help you out, I am pretty sure that I got it at Sears. Dont know whether they will have 22MM in size though.

Success-I removed the throttle bracket and distributer to get as much room as possible. A few attempts with sockets and basin wrench proved fruitless. I have a pipe wrench from lowes that I was able to get a bite on the knock sensor housing and got it to turn a little. Once I got it moving it was easy to get out the rest of the way. I installed the replacement and connected the wire to it and called it quits. Next will be installing the distributer, the oil pressure switch, the throttle bracket, connect all TBI throttle cables and check the plug wires for correct firing order and double check the firing order and I should be done.
