02 Running Rough & Stalling
So I took my 02 Blazer for its first drive in the hills. Failure. Just after we made the turn to head back to town it started running very rough and then stalled completely. It cranked but wouldn't start when I tried the key so I popped the hood and gave it a once over but didnt really do anything. After a little while I tried again and it fired right up and ran fine for about another ten miles, then the situation repeated. After it started again it got me home but now I'm trying to figure out what's going on.
Here's what I came up with so far.
1. When I popped the hood it felt pretty hot but the temp guage read normal.
2. Cheap gas. I bought the lowest octane because I'm broke but now I wonder if going up a grade might help.
3. Maybe I need to clean the injectors. Still don't understand why it ran fine after sitting a bit.
What do you guys think? Also, both times it started acting funny I was going uphill. Of course that's when I use the accelerator most.

Check the fuel pressure see if the fuel pump is working correctly and also check the a fuel filte mine did the same thing the fuel pump was vapor locking so if I waited for 15 minutes it would fire up and run fine for another 10 to 15 miles and do it again so I replace the fuel pump and it worked fine after that

I'll check the ignition but it felt more like a fuel problem. I didn't know vapor lock was still a problem with newer cars but that's what it felt like. I talked to a friend and he told me his bravada did exactly the same thing when he used gas with ethanol in it. I'm really hoping that's the problem. Finding pure gas can be a bit of a pain sometimes but it's better than having to dump a bunch of money into it. lol
