Question 95 Blazer windshield wipers randomly STOP WORKING...H.E.L.P.!!!!

its a '95 blazer. the front windshield wipers would randomly stop working. you would have to get out and pull on the blade to get them to start again. that worked for a lil while then it got worse. then we would have to bang on the area that the blades were attached to, that seemed to work too. then finally the just STOPPED working,. they would come on for about 3 min and then stop and not come back on at all. then the other day.. i got in and turned the car on and they started working. i turned them off and now they will not come on again. ive read that this is a common issue and what can i do? is it a problem in the steering collum or is it a motor issue?

PLEASE HELP.. i know a lil about cars.. but being a girl.. machanics really try to get one up on me. is there a DIY i can refference?
thanks

Sorry this guy is so goofy but this most likely is your problem. It happens all the time on these cars. The cold solder points will look "frosty". Its an easy fix. Cost you about twelve bucks at Radio Shack for the stuff.
