Default 95 fuel related problems? lost for answers!

i have recently been having a problem with my truck which seems to me as a fuel issue. when i try to accelerate the engine starts to sputter out and on some occassions completely stall. the problem only happens when i basically give it more than half the distance of the pedal at any speed. i can get it up to speed if i finesse the pedal a little at a time. (slower than normal traffic)
i have already replaced the fuel filter and also had the fuel pressure tested ,tbs, and distributer replaced. nothing fixed the issue and the mech has told me that it might be the computer in the truck. they are unable to check any of the codes because the computer basically will not send them. Now the truck will not start so i am stuck at home for now wondering what it could be and if buying a computer is worth it.

Hey You failed to mention the specifics on your unit(year, motor etc) But there are SO many issues related to these symptoms that one needs to check ALL! Start with the coil and go from there...Then work your ignition system,I have never heard of a computer failing in these units, but thats just me! W3
